Cosy Stripe Blanket by Attic24

I love a good crochet project and particularly love it when the pattern is FREE! I’ve been following Attic24 on Instagram for a while now and find her projects really inspiring. Lucy lives in England and has a passion for crochet and colour and loves to share her creative journey. Lucy offers loads of crochet patterns on her website but my particular favourite is her Cosy Stripe Blanket. This pattern uses just one crochet stitch –  a UK Treble Crochet (a Double Crochet in the US). It’s an incredibly simple but very effective mixed stripe using two rows of crochet for each colour. The simplicity of it (very little counting or pattern reading!) makes it a hugely enjoyable project, and it’s especially suited to the colder months of the year when you can cosy up and enjoy the snugly warmth of the blanket on your lap as you work. The rows grow satisfyingly quickly, and the simple mix of stitches creates a beautiful surface texture. Simply have a look at #cosystripeblanket on Instagram to see a variety of projects using this pattern in different colour scheme.
