MOPS stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” – but don’t let that confuse you. MOPS is about meeting the needs of every mum. Our MOPS group is a safe and accepting place where mums of young children can make friends, enjoy time out from the kiddos, have morning tea and meaningful adult conversation, and share the joys and challenges of mothering. MOPS is for mothers of children 0-6 years. Meets fortnightly during school terms.
We understand the unique needs, challenges and joys in this vital season of early mothering. At MOPS every mum is welcomed, accepted and challenged to reach her potential and recognise her influence with her family and her world. A MOPS group is a dynamic, inviting environment where women can come just as they are to build friendships, be encouraged and gain practical parenting strategies, while children are lovingly cared for in a MOPS Kids program.
encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realise her full potential
I am on my local MOPS team and think it’s one of the best community programs for mums with young children. If you are looking for a great social group that you can do during the week why not look into joining a MOPS near you? You can visit their website and search each state and territory to see where your closest group is.
